The Need
To effectively manage and protect important client data in line with Data Protection Legislation by training employees.
If you are an organisation in the Channel Islands and are involved in the collection of customer data, you will need to adhere to GDPR. GDPR is the most significant data protection regulation within the EU with a key focus on transforming the way organisations manage personal data.
It is essential that all organisations comply with GDPR, and effectively manage and protect client data in line with data protection legislation by training their employees.
Organisations will need to be able to evidence who has been trained and to what extent they have adopted new behaviours and knowledge. Employees need to be able to access the learning from any location at any time.
Our Solution
Our online Data Protection Awareness course covers key information and behaviours employees require to have to effectively safe-guard their organisation’s data.
The course covers essential areas such as:
– Awareness of current legislation
– Understanding personal and special category data
– The role and responsibilities of the Regulator and Data Protection Officers
– Data Protection Principles
– Data Protection Impact Assessments
– Insight in to the rights of an individual (data subject) in relation to their personal information
– Understanding governance and compliance requirements
– Data breaches & access requests
The course ends with a knowledge check, (pass mark is 80%). By taking this course and passing the knowledge check, your colleagues are demonstrating they have understood the guidance and are aware of their responsibilities as an employee. Successful learners can download their certificate to save as evidence of completion
Reporting
All learners will receive a certificate on completion for their records.
It is possible for a nominated user to gain access to track progress of colleagues to monitor compliance, alternatively you can choose to receive reports from us. If you would like to book more than 1 person on the course, require administrator access or you would like us to provide up to 4 reports for you, please select the Pay by Invoice option and we will contact you to organise this.
For an additional fee, we can insert information relevant to your organisation such as your DPO’s name, key processes and messages.
